Dr Kinitra Brooks
Associate Professor at Michigan State University, author of Searching for Sycorax: Black Women’s Hauntings of Contemporary Horror (2017) and co-editor of Sycorax’s Daughters (2017).
Award-winning author of several novels and short story collections including The Living Blood and Ghost Summer: Stories, My Soul to Keep, and executive producer of Shudder’s Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror.
Dr Robin R. Means Coleman
Professor of Communication and Africana studies at Northwestern University, and author of Horror Noire (2011), which Coleman has developed into the award winning documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror.
Film critic and author of Candyman (2018), in addition to Global Horror Cinema Today (2021), The Turn to Gruesomeness in American Horror Films, 1931-1936 (2016) and Subversive Horror Cinema (2014).
